In 2024, Georgia's external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) totaled USD 23,435.3 million, reflecting an 8.0% increase compared to the previous year, as reported by the National Statistics Service (GeoStat).
Exports reached USD 6,560.4 million, marking a 7.8% year-on-year growth, while imports amounted to USD 16,874.9 million, an 8.1% increase. Consequently, the negative trade balance stood at USD 10,314.5 million in 2024, accounting for 44.0% of the total external trade turnover.
Regarding export distribution, the share of the top ten trading partners in Georgia’s total exports was 81.5%. The leading export destinations included Kyrgyzstan (USD 1,287.4 million), Kazakhstan (USD 859.9 million), and Azerbaijan (USD 724.5 million).
