
Georgia’s international travel revenues reached a historic high of $826 million in the first quarter of 2025, according to data presented in Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s annual report to the parliamentary bureau.
The report outlines both ongoing and planned initiatives in the tourism sector, emphasizing the government's commitment to strengthening this key area of the economy.
Compared to the first quarter of 2024, travel revenues increased by $18.3 million, marking a 2.3% year-on-year growth.
Visitor numbers also rose slightly, with 1,314,828 international visitors recorded—a 1.1% increase over the same period last year. Of these, 958,947 were international tourist visits, reflecting a 2.2% rise compared to Q1 2024.
The government underscored these gains as a testament to the country’s growing appeal and ongoing investment in tourism development.
