Foreign IT specialists earning over $25,000 annually will now be eligible for a 3-year residence permit in Georgia under special conditions, according to Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili.
The initiative aims to boost Georgia’s competitiveness in the tech sector, attract more international companies, and create high-paying tech jobs.
Nadareishvili noted that Georgia has become a regional hub for global IT firms, with over 150 international tech companies setting up offices in the past four years. This growth has brought in thousands of skilled professionals and pushed IT exports beyond 2 billion GEL.
The government continues to invest in IT infrastructure, talent development, and business-friendly policies to strengthen the local tech ecosystem.
