At the 2025 China International Import Exhibition (CIIE) in Shanghai, Georgia will participate as a special guest country, marking an enhanced role in showcasing its enterprises, investment potential, tourism, and culture, according to Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Irakli Nadareishvili.
Nadareishvili noted that Georgia will be represented with three pavilions — a national pavilion, an enterprise pavilion, and a food and beverage pavilion — where over 40 Georgian companies will present their products, cultural traditions, and culinary offerings.
He emphasized that the exhibition provides a valuable platform for Georgian entrepreneurs to expand export opportunities and strengthen economic ties with China.
Georgia’s delegation, led by the Prime Minister, will hold high-level meetings, including with the Premier of the People’s Republic of China, and sign bilateral agreements to deepen trade, economic, and people-to-people relations.
During the visit, Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili will sign memoranda of understanding with China’s Civil Aviation Administration, Ministry of Commerce, and National Development and Reform Commission.
The delegation also includes Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili, Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze, Agriculture Minister Davit Songulashvili, National Bank President Natia Turnava, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
