
The Roads Department of Georgia has announced an international tender to develop a comprehensive strategy aimed at strengthening the country's road maintenance system.
The project is partially financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of its support for improving the Shorapani–Argveta section of the East–West Highway, a key transit corridor in Georgia.
According to the Roads Department, the selected consultancy group will be responsible for:

Conducting detailed road monitoring,

Developing a new maintenance strategy,

Creating guiding principles and documentation to support a sustainable and cost-effective road asset management system aligned with user needs.
The consultancy team will have 12 months to complete the task. The estimated procurement value is USD 882,750.
The initiative is part of Georgia’s broader infrastructure development agenda and aims to ensure long-term efficiency, safety, and durability of the country’s road network.
