The Index shows Georgia rated with 2.7 points among 139 countries across the world.
Georgia’s scores in specific components of the index looked as follows:
Efficiency of the clearance process (i.e., speed, simplicity and predictability of formalities) by border control agencies, including customs – 2.6
Quality of trade and transport related infrastructure (e.g., ports, railroads, roads, information technology) – 2.3
International shipments - 2.7
Competence and quality of logistics services (e.g., transport operators, customs brokers) – 2.6
Timeliness of shipments in reaching destination within the scheduled or expected delivery time – 3.1
Tracking and tracing - 2.8
Georgia’s Ministry of Economy said the improvement in the Logistics Performance Index highlighted the country’s “strengthened transit and logistics role” in international trade and cargo transportation.
Singapore (with the score of 4.3), Finland (4.2), Denmark (4.1), Germany (4.1) and the Netherlands (4.1) were rated as having the best logistics performance in 2023.
As for Georgia's neighbouring countries, Turkey ranked 38th with 3.4, Armenia was 97th with 2.5 and Russia 88th with 2.6.
