In an interview with Gulf News, Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said Georgia is focused on economic growth through infrastructure, digital development, energy diversification, and stronger regional connections.
She emphasized Georgia’s strategic role as a link between Europe and Asia, with major infrastructure projects like the Anaklia Deep Sea Port, a new airport in Tbilisi, highway and railway upgrades, and modern logistics centers.
Kvrivishvili highlighted strong partnerships with UAE investors — including Eagle Hills’ $6 billion developments in Tbilisi and Batumi, and Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s Tbilisi Dry Port, which opened in June 2025.
She also stressed the importance of energy projects, especially the Black Sea Submarine Electricity Cable, which will boost energy links between the EU and the South Caucasus.
Overall, the minister said these efforts aim to build a more inclusive, resilient, and globally competitive Georgian economy.
