The head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Maia Omiadze evaluated the data of the three quarters of the revenues received from international tourism. Maia Omiadze stated that in January-September 2023, Georgia received $3.3 billion of revenues from international trips.
According to the data published by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, the income received from travel (tourism) in the I-III quarter of 2023 exceeded the 2019 figure and amounted to 3,251,651,900 US dollars, which is 25.9% higher than the revenues earned in the same period of 2019 (668,812,328 USD). Compared to 2022, travel revenues have increased by 734,468,385 (29.2%) USD.
In the third quarter of 2023, travel revenue surpassed the 2019 figure to reach $1,447,121,966, which is a 28.4% increase compared to the same figure in 2019, and compared to the third quarter of 2022, travel revenues increased by 72,468,664 (+5.3%) US dollars.
