,,Georgia has the opportunity to participate in the 3+3 format" - this statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a press conference.
Lavrov emphasized Russia's strong support for the initiative proposed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which aims to establish a 3+3 mechanism. This mechanism involves the three countries of the South Caucasus—Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia—alongside their three regional neighbors: Russia, Turkey, and Iran.
The Russian Foreign Minister further clarified that a place for Georgia remains open within this framework. He stated, “Initial contacts have already been established. While our Georgian neighbors have yet to assume their position, the seat at the table, where discussions on regional issues will take place, will always remain available for them.”
