The National Environmental Agency has issued a warning about an impending heatwave across Georgia, with air temperatures forecasted to soar as high as 41 degrees Celsius in some regions.
According to the agency, from July 27 to 31, temperatures in the lowland and mountainous areas of Western Georgia are expected to rise significantly. The heat will extend to Eastern Georgia’s plains and mountain zones between July 29 and 31, with daily highs ranging between 38°C and 41°C.
Authorities have cautioned that the extreme temperatures pose a heightened risk of heat stress and forest fires, with the current danger level classified as moderate.
Citizens are advised to take precautions, limit exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours, stay hydrated, and avoid activities that could spark wildfires.
