
According to the Finance Ministry of Georgia, the World Bank is using the so-called Programme for Results (PforR) of funding for the first time. This means that the implementation and monitoring of the activities envisaged by the program, will rely entirely on the public institutions and systems. The program covers the education, health and social care sectors.
"In the field of health and social protection, the human capital program will make a significant contribution to increasing the efficiency of service delivery. In terms of the education system, the program aims to increase access to high quality education.
The Finance Ministry of Georgia will coordinate the implementation of the project, while the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs will achieve the planned results and indicators in the main direction,” - the statement reads.
