Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili met with Tatiana Panayotovich Tsvetkovic, Ambassador of Serbia to Georgia (residing in Yerevan), to discuss strengthening bilateral relations.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the two sides welcomed the traditionally friendly ties between their countries and noted positive momentum in recent high-level engagements.
A key point of discussion was the launch of direct flights between Tbilisi and Belgrade, seen as a major step toward enhancing business, tourism, and people-to-people connections.
The meeting also focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to conclude a free trade agreement, emphasizing the importance of ongoing efforts and highlighting the upcoming session of the Georgia-Serbia Intergovernmental Joint Economic Commission, set to take place in Belgrade this November.
The ministers stressed the need to foster stronger links between business communities and reiterated mutual support for each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
To mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Ambassador Tsvetkovic presented a commemorative postage stamp to Minister Bochorishvili.
