Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, the Ministry of Economy reported.
Talks centered on expanding collaboration in trade, transport and logistics, energy, civil aviation, and tourism. A major focus was the strategic development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor, which both countries view as essential for regional connectivity.
The sides discussed attracting more international cargo to the route and reviewed infrastructure projects that could support its expansion.
Minister Kvrivishvili underscored Kazakhstan’s importance as a trade and economic partner, noting:
“Exports play a crucial role in both our economies. We are optimistic that our partnership will continue to grow, and we will see more Georgian products entering the Kazakh market.”
The meeting took place as part of Kvrivishvili’s official visit to Kazakhstan.
