
During the Council of Europe Ministerial in Luxembourg, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held a bilateral meeting with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks centered on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, with a focus on expanding cooperation in trade, economic development, energy, and Black Sea connectivity.
The two ministers highlighted the importance of the upcoming Georgia-Hungary intergovernmental summit, set to take place in Budapest on June 11–12.
Hungary reaffirmed its strong support for Georgia’s European Union integration. Both sides expressed commitment to enhancing collaboration at political and technical levels to advance this goal.
Regional security issues and the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories were also discussed.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue coordinated efforts to deepen bilateral relations and strategic cooperation.
