
According to the data published by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as of July 2022, the gross external debt of Georgia exceeded 7.784 billion dollars (by the current exchange rate - GEL 21.524 billion). As of June, the amount of the debt was 7.909 billion dollars or GEL 23.158 billion by the then exchange rate.
In addition, as of July 31, 2022, Georgia’s largest creditors are: the Asian Development Bank (ADB); the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the World Bank, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
In particular, Georgia owes 825,113 million US dollars to the EIB; the external debt of the state to the IBRD exceeds 1,219 billion dollars, and to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) - 1,802 billion dollars.
As for the International Development Association (IDA), Georgia’s gross external debt to it is 737,964 million dollars.
