As of the latest update from Georgia’s Revenue Service, 30,451 individuals are now registered in the national gambling self-exclusion database—an increase of nearly 4,000 since May.
According to the data:
-
59 were added by court order
-
30,392 registered voluntarily through self-application
Authorities note that the self-restriction process has been simplified, now allowing individuals to enroll using biometric ID verification—no prior authorization needed. This aims to provide a confidential and secure method for those seeking to control gambling addiction.
Under Georgian law, registered individuals are banned from participating in both online and physical gambling, with exceptions for promotional prize draws.
Key rules:
-
Inclusion lasts 5 years
-
Early removal allowed only by court decision (after 3 years) or loss of Georgian citizenship
