Starting autumn 2025, young people in Georgia aged 18 to 30 will gain access to the European Youth Card—also known as the “Opportunity Card”—which offers over 25,000 discounts in 40 European countries. The initiative was officially announced by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze during a recent City Hall meeting.
Georgia will join nearly 9 million cardholders across Europe, with Tbilisi City Hall holding exclusive distribution rights for the country.
“Our goal is to expand access for young people to education, mobility, culture, sports, and entertainment,” said Kaladze.
To expand beyond Tbilisi, City Hall signed a partnership with the Bank of Georgia to support nationwide rollout.
The European Youth Card will be Georgia’s first official discount card for youth, offering benefits not just for students but for all under-30s, with local discounts also being rapidly expanded.
“This will be one of the most important youth support programs ever launched by the municipality,” Kaladze added.
