
Georgia’s Economy and Sustainable Development Minister, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with representatives of a U.S. business delegation organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce to explore bilateral and regional cooperation opportunities.
The meeting was held at a reception hosted by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Alan Pursell and included members of Georgia’s business and government sectors.
Minister Kvrivishvili stressed the importance of the U.S.-Georgia strategic partnership, expressing interest in renewing and strengthening ties. She highlighted major infrastructure projects funded by the Georgian government—such as the East-West Highway, railway modernization, and port upgrades—as key to boosting Georgia’s transit role and enhancing the Middle Corridor’s competitiveness.
She noted that such meetings help strengthen business ties and improve trade and economic cooperation.
The American business delegation visited Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia to explore opportunities in trade, energy, infrastructure, and logistics along the Middle Corridor.
The visit was organized with support from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the American-Georgian Business Council (AGBC), the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan.
According to the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, the visit demonstrates the U.S. commitment to expanding economic ties with Georgia and enhancing cooperation in infrastructure, digital trade, technology, transport, and logistics.
