The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has revised its economic growth forecast for Georgia in 2025, increasing it from 4.6% to 6%. This adjustment positions Georgia as the leading economy in the Eastern Europe and the Caucasus (EEC) region.
In contrast, the EBRD projects a slowdown in the EEC region's overall economic growth, anticipating a decline from 4.4% in 2023 to 3.7% in 2024, with a further dip to 3.2% in 2025.
The Georgian government's state budget aligns with the EBRD's forecast, planning for a 6% economic growth in 2025.
For comparison, the EBRD's growth projections for other countries in the region are as follows:
- Armenia: 5%
- Azerbaijan: 3%
- Moldova: 2%
- Ukraine: 3.5%
These figures highlight Georgia's robust economic outlook relative to its regional counterparts.
