The large-scale construction of "Dream City" in Batumi is progressing steadily, with completion scheduled for the first half of 2028, according to the Ajara Government Administration. The project is currently in the active phase of its second stage, aimed at significantly improving housing conditions in the region.
Chairman of the Ajara Government, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, recently visited the construction site to oversee infrastructure works. He emphasized that enhancing the socio-economic well-being of residents remains a central priority for the regional government.
“As part of the second phase, nine multi-apartment residential buildings will be constructed, providing 1,077 families with fully furnished apartments,” said Tamazashvili. “Each unit will be equipped with gas supply and sewage systems, and the area will include educational and recreational spaces.”
The first phase of the Dream City project saw the construction of three 12-story residential buildings, with 582 families already moved into their new homes.
In addition to the ongoing works in Batumi, the government reported that construction of social housing is actively underway in other municipalities of Ajara. By the end of the ongoing housing projects in 2028, more than 2,000 families across the region will receive well-equipped apartments.
The Dream City initiative reflects the Ajara Government’s broader commitment to social development and regional infrastructure improvement, offering long-term housing solutions to thousands of families.
