
An agreement on economic cooperation was signed between Georgia and Croatia, within the framework of which intergovernmental economic cooperation commissions will be established between the two countries.
As the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reported, the signing of the document took place after the bilateral meeting between the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman.
"According to Levan Davitashvili, the agreement will contribute to the deepening of economic cooperation between the countries. As part of the joint commissions, we will be able to formally determine the priorities that the two countries have in terms of economic cooperation. I think this will deepen the relations between us and Croatia, will help increase trade turnover and cooperation in various economic directions," - Levan Davitashvili said.
The Minister also focused on the sharing of experience from the side of Croatia.
"Croatia is a full member of the European Union, including the Eurozone and Schengen. Thus, the experience of Croatia will be really helpful on the path of Georgia's European integration," - Levan Davitashvili stated.
The meeting and signing ceremony took place as part of the visit of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman, to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. At the meeting, the opening of the diplomatic representation of Georgia in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, was positively evaluated, which will further strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries.
