Those, who are hindered by the lack of electric chargers to purchase electric cars, while traveling in Western Georgia, will no longer have this problem. As the Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze, said at the meeting of the government of the capital, electric car chargers will be installed on the high-speed highway in the western direction.
"Working with business circles, we made a very important decision that will further promote and encourage the flow of electric cars to our country and capital. Tbilisi Municipality, together with the private sector, is implementing an additional 50 electric charger installation project. Of these, 30 chargers will be installed at different addresses of the capital, in different districts, and 20 chargers will be installed on the high-speed highway in the western direction," - said Kakha Kaladze.
As the Mayor explained, one station will be set up on the Tbilisi-Batumi direction, where 10 charging devices will be installed. There will be one station for electric cars going from Batumi to Tbilisi. In this case too, 10 chargers will work at the station.
"The mentioned project should be implemented within the next 7 months", - Kakha Kaladze said.
