
The Badagoni Wine Company still ranks 1st in terms of production and export of Georgian wine.
The National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) has published the TOP-10 wine exporting companies of the largest export local products, which, in 2023, are the largest sellers of wine outside the country's borders:
JSC Badagoni;
JSC Telavi Wine Cellar Marani;
JSC Kotekhi-Winery of Gurjaani;
Bolero & Company Ltd.;
Alcoholic Drinks Company Alaverdi Ltd.;
Askaneli Brothers Ltd.;
Dugladze Wine Company Ltd.;
Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking Ltd.;
Kakhuri Gvinis Marani (Kakhetian Wine Cellar) Ltd.;
Winery Khareba Ltd.
According to Geostat, last year Georgia earned $259 million from wine exports, which is slightly higher [by 2.6%] indicator than the corresponding figure of 2022. As a result, the share of natural grape wines in the total export amounted to 4.3%, and the goods of this denomination took the fourth place in the ranking of exported products.
Despite a slight increase in the export value, the volume of wine exported outside the country's borders decreased by 11.9%, therefore, the value of the exported wine increased last year.
To be informed, in 2023, the Badagoni winery purchased the state-of-the-art machinery, including the Italian grape processing system Della Toffola, and, thus, increased the production process by 25%. Della Toffola gives the opportunity to process 60 tons of grapes per hour.
The Italian press Della Toffola is able to process 60 tons of grapes per hour.

As the company says, the increase in capacity and performance was due to the growing demand for the Badagoni wines in the international market.
In addition, the company is equipped with an ultra-modern, high-tech laboratory, which allows the intensive control of grapes and wine quality.

Badagoni is also the first Georgian wine company that started kosher wine production and exported it to Israel.
In 2023, the Badagoni winery produced 13 million bottles of wine.
