
As the holiday season is approaching in Tusheti [a historic region in northeast Georgia], "Badagoni Home near Alaverdi" is scheduled to host “Tushuri Tabla” - the Day of the Tush Culture.
Holding of the Tush Culture Days aims to popularize the traditional Tush cuisine and local culture, which are conjointly supervised by the City Hall of Akhmeta Municipality, the Tusheti Protected Landscape Administration, the Tusheti Protected Areas Administration and "Badagoni Home near Alaverdi".
The guests will have the opportunity to attend the presentation of the culinary book entitled "Tushuri Tabla", get acquainted with the Tush customs and art and listen to the masterpieces of traditional folklore, which will be performed by the choristers of the "Folklore House" and the Keselo Ensemble (existing on the archival base of (NNLE) Tush Brand). They will be also allowed to taste the local dishes prepared by the chef of the restaurant, Nata Baikhoidze; a red bread baked by Lagazi Bakery; cow-milk Guda cheese prepared by the agricultural cooperative "Alaznistavi"; tea and jam made from the Tush plants by "Usharo"; local bear and herbal vodka.
An exhibition of traditional handicrafts created by the Tush handicraft workshop “Mzemoe” will be organized on the spot. Attendance is free.
