According to Juansher Burchuladze, the format of trilateral cooperation in the field of defense is effective and serves security and stability in the region.
"The relations based on strategic partnership, trust and mutual respect among Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia are of great importance for the security of the region, the well-being of our people and the development of our defense forces," - the Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze said.
He focused on the security challenges in the region and noted that there is no alternative to resolving the current conflicts peacefully, and underlined the Prime Minister's peaceful initiative voiced by Irakli Gharibashvili at the 76th session of the UN.
The Defense Ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan thanked their Georgian counterpart for the fruitful meetings and for organizing the Ministerial at a high level.
"We discussed the current and future cooperation plans in the field of defense and security, as well as in other areas. From the perspective of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey, we considered what we can do for the prosperity and stability of the region," - the Turkish Defense Minister stated.
"Today's meetings are an example of strategic cooperation between our countries. During the trilateral meetings, the steps to be taken for development of relations between the brotherly and friendly peoples were highlighted. We discussed the future prospects and talked about different areas of cooperation," - the Azerbaijani Defense Minister stressed.
At the end of the Ministerial, the Defense Ministers of all three countries signed a tripartite cooperation document.
