
A working meeting was held between the members of the Government of Georgia and the World Bank officials; the parties discussed the Economic Memorandum of Understanding (CEM) prepared by the World Bank entitled: "Projecting the Future for a Competitive, Integrated and Strong Georgia".
As the press service of the government administration reports, the discussion around the document was attended by: Lalita Murti, the World Bank Country Director for Equal Economic Growth, Finance and Institutions in Europe and Central Asia; Sebastian Molineus, the World Bank Regional Director; Levan Davitashvili, the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Irakli Karseladze, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Zurab Azarashvili, the Vice President of the National Bank Archil Mestvirishvili, the representatives of Ministries and the World Bank officials.
The document, prepared by the World Bank, reflects Georgia’s achievements over the past decade and aims to pursue the necessary state policy to maintain these achievements.
The memorandum discusses the importance of strengthening the country’s reforms in areas such as structural and spatial transformation, increasing productivity in various sectors, human capital development and more.
The document will be publicized and become available to the public after the exchange of proposals and opinions from the Georgian side.
