“As part of the visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, we signed several agreements that will deepen the economic relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan,” – the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili announced this in Kazakhstan.
According to him, an agreement on the nomenclature of trade turnover was signed with Kazakhstan, which will contribute to the growth of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Georgia.
"First, it was about the agreement on the nomenclature of trade turnover, which will contribute to the growth of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Georgia. We also agreed on cooperation in the field of information technologies and innovations, and here our GITA (Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency) will be involved and cooperate with the relevant agencies, the Kazakh side. An agreement was also signed between the railways of the two countries, in terms of the promotion and cooperation of railway shipments, and of course, this is one of the important issues in the direction of cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan - due to the current situation, Georgia and the so-called Middle Corridor are gaining special importance, and not only Kazakhstan, but also other Central Asian countries are interested in Georgia. The conversation also touched on the improvement and modernization of the existing infrastructure in Batumi, in order for Georgia to be able to handle more high-value cargo", - Levan Davitashvili said.
