72.5 million bottles of wine exported from Georgia to 60 countries within 9 months

“In 9 months of 2021, 72.5 million bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to 60 countries globally,” - the National Wine Agency of Georgia reported.

Reportedly, the revenue received through exporting wine from Georgia in January-September this year reaches 168 million US dollars, which is 11% more than the same period last year. The amount of the exported wine has also increased by 12%.

Top five importing countries of Georgian wine are: Russia, Ukraine, Poland, China and Kazakhstan.

In 2021, the export growth is significant in the following countries: Canada - 88%, Sweden - 59%, Czech Republic - 202%, France - 7%, Kazakhstan - 32%, Israel - 28%, Azerbaijan - 21%, Turkey - 209%, Ukraine - 8%, Russia - 7%, Mongolia - 146%, Belarus - 12% and so on.

At the same time, the dynamics of export growth in the strategic markets of Georgian wine is maintained: Poland - 24% (4156777), China - 16% (3961484), Latvia - 2% (1218075), Lithuania - 36% (744600), USA - 18% (807413) , Germany - 21% (604136) and the United Kingdom - 178% (513724).
