
With the organization of the National Administration of Tourism of Georgia and the Association of Sommeliers, the President of the Association of Professional Sommeliers of Italy, Giuseppe Vaccarini, is conducting a training course in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Telavi.
120 representatives of wine tourism are attending the training course. The course is being held as part of the international training program created according to the standard of the International Association of Sommeliers.
"With the joint organization of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia and the Georgian Sommelier Association, the president of the Association of Professional Sommeliers of Italy visited Georgia, who is conducting master classes in three cities of Georgia: Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Telavi. It should be noted that 120 participants are beneficiaries, who are participating in this program. The project aims to share international experience in the hospitality industry, namely, in the direction of wine tourism", said the Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia Maia Omiadze.
The aim of the training program is to develop the advanced and highest service standard in the hospitality industry in order to improve the quality of service for tourists.
Participants of the training course will be given relevant certificates. Those, who have already completed the preparatory program, will have the opportunity to pass the first level exam of international Sommeliers. If the exam is successfully passed, the international certificate (Association de la Sommellerie Internationale – ASI Certification level 1) will be awarded, which is recognized in 63 countries.
Giuseppe Vaccarini is the president of the Association of Professional Sommeliers of Italy, the former president of the International Association of Sommeliers, the world's best sommelier and the author of many educational books.
