The Civil Aviation Agency has approved a new regular flight route for low-cost carrier Wizz Air, connecting Georgia with Venice, Italy.

The Venice–Kutaisi–Venice service is set to launch with the start of the winter navigation season. According to Wizz Air’s application, flights will begin on December 2 and operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Wizz Air currently serves 23 destinations from Georgia, operating approximately 72 flights per week. In the first nine months of this year, the airline transported over 1 million passengers (1,075,585), maintaining its position as the leading airline in Georgia’s aviation market.
