
“Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan transported 3.87 billion barrels (more than 516 tons) of crude oil in 16 years, 5087 tankers were loaded and sent to the world markets,” - BP reports.
According to the company, in the first half of 2022, approximately 107 million barrels (more than 14.1 million tons) of crude oil exported by BTC were loaded in 148 tankers at the Ceyhan terminal. During the first half of 2022, BTC's operating expenses were over $49 million, and capital expenditures exceeded $9 million.
On March 23, 2022, BTC achieved an important result and loaded the 5,000th tanker of oil transported from the Sangachal terminal via Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to the Ceyhan terminal.
The pipeline is 1,768 km long and began operation in June 2006.
BTC currently transports mainly ACG crude oil and Shah Deniz condensate from Azerbaijan. BTC also continues to transport additional volumes of crude oil and condensate from the Caspian region.
