
,,Within the framework of cooperation between the governments of Germany and Georgia, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Irakli Nadareishvili, Chairman of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency Avtandil Kasradze and Head of the German Development Bank (KfW) evaluation mission Teresa Geipel signed an agreement on further cooperation in the direction of the grant component. The document defines the main directions of cooperation between the Innovation and Technology Agency and KfW within the framework of the INNOVATION4JOBS project," - the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reports.
After the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili positively assessed the start of cooperation with the German side within the INNOVATION4JOBS project.
"The development of the innovative startup ecosystem in Georgia is one of the priority directions of the government. In recent years, the innovation and technology agency included in the system of the ministry has been actively working in this direction. A number of programs, such as improving access to finance, technical assistance, development of new investment instruments, are being successfully implemented. Our ecosystem already has very significant successes, especially in the international arena. The agreement signed today envisages, in the following years, the support of various directions of the Georgian innovative startup eco-system within the framework of approximately 15 million euros. including the educational component in the IT field; the introduction of the European accelerator to the country and various grant and technical assistance components," - the Deputy Minister said,
