
In the city of Chicago, on November 12-14, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Tengiz Nasaridze, visited the Georgian stand represented to one of the largest exhibitions - the U.S. Private Label Trade Show - and met with representatives of the Georgian companies.
"It is important that the Georgian producers were given the opportunity to present their agro-food products to the largest exhibition in the United States of America. The U.S. Georgian entrepreneurs are participating in the Private Label Trade Show for the first time this year. Our goal is to maximize the awareness of the quality Georgian agricultural products in the world market, so that entrepreneurs benefiting from the state support in all components of the value chain can position themselves in diversified markets", - the Deputy Minister said.
Within the framework of the exhibition, Tengiz Nasaridze met the vice president of private label manufacturers association Anthony Aloya. At the meeting, the parties discussed the mechanisms of support for the Georgian companies.
The Georgian stand included nuts, juices, cheese, tea, jams, laurel and spices produced by the companies - NUTSGE LLC, Farconi Ltd, Geo-flower Ltd, Batono Ltd,, Cesari LLC, Maisi 2020 LLC - it was organized by the Rural Development Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and supported by the USAID AGRICULTURE PROGRAM. The main part of the Georgian companies participating in the exhibition are beneficiaries of the government programs.
More than 1,500 companies from 55 countries of the world participated in 25 pavilions of the US Private Label Trade exhibition. This exhibition provides an opportunity for interested parties to access the markets of the private trade industries of the USA and Canada. Within the framework of the exhibition, manufacturers have the opportunity to conduct negotiations with the world brands on the unification of products under a common brand, which significantly reduces the marketing costs of manufacturers.
