With Love To Freedom - this year’s message for May 26, Independence Day of Georgia

As the Government Administration stated, from 2016 every year, this day acquires different themes around which a campaign, slogan, celebratory videos and decorations in Tbilisi and throughout Georgia are built.
Last year, the slogan for May 26 was Towards Europe. In 2018, Georgia celebrated the 100th anniversary of the First Democratic Republic. In 2017, Georgia’s Independence Day coincided with 850 years since the birth of the Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli who penned the iconic poem, The Knight in the Panther’s Skin. Thus, the slogan of the 2017 Independence Day was “I come from the country of Rustaveli.”
