According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, wine made from endemic varieties in Georgia has the great potential in the American market.
"The unique varieties of wine produced by Georgia have more potential in the American market. Georgia has its own endemic varieties, and I think presenting them to the market is the right position. In the last decade, we have been consistently working to increase the awareness of the local Georgian varieties, such as Saperavi; among them, wine made in a pitcher [kvevri] is the great advantage of the Georgian wine," - the Minister said.
