According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the country plans to start negotiations on free trade with Israel, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
In May 2023, a memorandum was signed on the conclusion of the study on the feasibility of signing a free trade agreement with Israel and the start of negotiations by the parties. Negotiations are planned to start in 2024.
On May 9, 2022, the Document on the Terms of Negotiation of the Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Partnership between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates was signed. As a result, negotiations on the text of the agreement were completed in three rounds and 5 months (the first round - September 26-28, 2022, the second round - December 6-8 and March 17, 2023). Currently, the process of legalization of the text of the agreement is underway, and it is planned to be signed by the end of 2023.
