In January-October, 2022, Peru ranked 10th among Georgia's top trading partners by exports with a share of 2.6%.
According to the report published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), during this period, Georgia earned $118 million from the sale of goods in Peru, which is 830.9% higher than the figure of the same period last year (January-October 2021 - $12.6 million). It should be noted that the trend of export growth from Georgia to Peru was evident this year, and the country has never seen such volume of exports with Peru in the history of trade relations.
According to official statistics, in the first 10 months of the current year, a total of 3 denominations of goods were exported from the country to this direction. Nitrogenous fertilizers take the main share of exports to Peru. The list of export goods is as follows:
- Mineral, chemical or nitrogen fertilizers - with the revenue of $114.2 million; 184,500 tons;
- Fats, grease and their fractions of fish or marine mammals - with the revenue of $ 69.2 million; 1 144 tons;
- Thermally polished glass and glass with a matte or polished surface - with the revenue of $ 69 thousand, 126 tons.
