The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for Georgia due to expected severe conditions in the coming days.

Rain is forecast for western Georgia on September 30. Starting from the second half of that day through the first half of October 2, eastern Georgia may experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds.

The agency warns that the heavy precipitation could cause rivers to rise, flash floods in smaller streams, and trigger landslides and sandstorms in hilly and mountainous areas. These conditions are classified as medium risk.
