The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for June 16–17, forecasting severe conditions across various regions of Georgia.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in parts of Western Georgia, while hailstorms may occur in certain areas of Eastern Georgia. Additionally, strong westerly winds are anticipated across the country.
“The expected rainfall may lead to a significant rise in river levels, flash floods in smaller rivers, and the activation of landslides and mudslides in hilly and mountainous regions,” the agency warned, assigning a medium danger level to the forecast.
Residents, especially in vulnerable areas, are advised to remain cautious and follow official updates.
