The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for April 25, advising the public to prepare for unstable and potentially hazardous conditions across Georgia.
Forecasters predict intermittent rain throughout the country, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms, fog, hail, and short bursts of strong wind are also expected.
“The forecasted precipitation may lead to significant rises in river levels and could trigger or reactivate mudflow processes, particularly in Georgia’s hilly and mountainous regions,” the Agency stated, assigning a medium-level threat warning.
Residents, especially those in vulnerable areas, are urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions as weather conditions may deteriorate rapidly.
