Meteorologists are forecasting a period of unstable weather across most of Georgia from late Saturday, June 29, through Sunday afternoon, June 30, including rain, thunderstorms, possible hail, and strong winds.

The National Environmental Agency has warned that precipitation may be heavy in some regions, accompanied by periodic bursts of intensified wind.

“The expected precipitation may cause flooding on Georgia’s small rivers,” the agency stated, adding that hilly and mountainous areas face a medium risk of landslides and mudflows due to the rainfall.

Residents are advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions, especially in vulnerable zones.
