The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for deteriorating conditions expected throughout the country.

From the evening of October 12 through October 13, widespread rainfall is forecast across most regions of Georgia. Some areas may experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, and occasional strong winds. Eastern parts of the country could also see hail, while the Black Sea coastline may face 3–4 point storm surges.

The agency warns that the expected rainfall could cause a significant rise in river levels, flash floods in smaller rivers, and trigger landslides and mudflows in hilly and mountainous regions. The overall risk level has been assessed as medium.
