Organized by the National Bank of Georgia and the Central Bank of the Netherlands, the International Seminar of Internal Auditors - "Internal Audit in the Governance Context" was opened at the Wyndham Grand Tbilisi Hotel.
According to the National Bank of Georgia, the event is aimed at discussions of experts and professionals from different countries in the field of internal audit on the current topics, knowledge sharing and deepening of communication among the colleagues.
The meeting was opened by the Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava.
"The National Bank of Georgia traditionally hosts representatives of central banks of different countries who are responsible for internal audit issues. This seminar is held annually with the support of the Central Bank of the Netherlands, and it is very important to share our experience with colleagues from different countries worldwide, because internal audit and its proper functioning are important for the transparency and risk reinsurance of any central bank. It's nice that our colleagues are interested in our new experience every year, and today we hosted a similar event very successfully", said Natia Turnava.
