“We have successfully completed negotiations with the partner Kazakh airline FlyArystan. As a result, direct regular air traffic between Kutaisi and Almaty will begin at the Kutaisi International Airport. This will increase the number of flight frequencies to 15 per week. At this stage, flights to Georgia are carried out from 4 cities of Kazakhstan,” - the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, said.
According to her, Almaty is an important addition to the Kutaisi International Airport, the aviation market and tourism sector of Georgia.
"Additional frequencies and destinations contribute to the growth of tourist flows. I would especially single out Kazakhstan as one of the priority destinations to Georgia," - the Deputy Minister said.
FlyArystan will operate two flights a week from Almaty to Kutaisi and vice versa from June 4.
