Gepherrini, a Georgian manufacturer of leather bags and various accessories, plans to expand its production.
As Ilia Gepheridze, the founder of Gepherrini, told bm.ge, the company is entering the Chinese market; adding a new export market of Israel, therefore, the company will be able to meet the growing demand with an increased production capacity.
"We have high expectations for China; we are dealing with a rather large scale. So, we are going to expand the production line. Recently, the Israeli market has been added to our export destinations. We make 5,000 units of products per month, but it is not enough, therefore, we have increased this number to 10,000.
We have a lot of plans, including opening a new store, though we are looking forward to the developments for the time being. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine hurt us, because we were represented in both markets - these countries accounted for 8% of our exports. Now we have left the Russian market and sales in Ukraine have stopped," said Ilia Gepheridze.
To be informed, Gepherrini has a total of 44 points of purchase in the international market.
