"We have an ambition to become a green energy hub in the region. In order to achieve this goal, for the last few years we have been actively working on the creation of a legislative base that will support the further development of green energy in Georgia,” - the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili writes, congratulating all specialists employed in the energy sector of Georgia on their professional day.
As Minister writes, the development of Georgia and the well-being of its citizens largely depend on their successful activities.
"That is why the abundant potential of renewable energies in our country is one of the main focuses of our energy policy. The correct use of these sources not only forms the basis of our energy security, but also represents an opportunity to respond to the global challenges and achieve the goals set in terms of mitigating the effects of climate change.
The government of Georgia makes significant investments in energy infrastructure, be it power lines, substations, gas pipelines, etc. All this is necessary for the further development of the country's energy sector and strengthening of energy security in general", - Levan Davitashvili writes.
