"As you know, on March 3, 2022, Georgia submitted an application for joining the European Union as a concrete response to the long-term choice of the Georgian people, and on June 23, 2022, the European Council recognized Georgia's European perspective, which once again confirmed that Georgia's future lies in the European Union. We have a crucial road ahead of us on the way to joining the European Union, candidate status is our next stage. We hope that the leading country in the Eastern Partnership will celebrate this achievement. All of the above shows that the Government of Georgia is flexible and responsive to new regional, global, social and political events, despite the fact that the environment around Georgia is constantly changing," said Irakli Gharibashvili.
