On behalf of the Government, I would like to once again offer the greatest sympathy to the families of our deceased heroes, military personnel and not only military personnel, our citizens, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili told journalists at the Mukhatgvedi Brothers' Cemetery after paying tribute to the memory of those who died in the August war.
"On behalf of the Government, I would like to once again offer the greatest sympathy to the families of our deceased heroes, military personnel, and not only military personnel, but also our citizens.
We experienced the greatest tragedy in the days of the August war. We lost too many fellow citizens. Our soldiers showed exemplary heroism, dedication, self-sacrifice. They defended our motherland honorably, sacrificed themselves for our motherland and saved many of our fellow citizens. I pay tribute to their memory.
I want to wish our country peace and unification", - Gharibashvili stated.
