"We came up with the idea of creating an artificial island in Batumi five years ago,”- one of the investors of the project, Pridon Katamadze, said.
"This story began about five years ago, when I managed to obtain the bathymetric data prepared during the communist era. After learning how low in water this area is, I became very interested in the project. In addition, our company operates granite quarries this [ground] should be filled with," - Pridon Katamadze stated.
To be reminded, the said project is managed by Ambassador Batumi Island, which was founded on June 14, 2021. The company has two shareholders, namely the British Virgin Islands business company - offshore company Property Assets Investment LTD, which owns an 82% share of the project, while the remaining part is held by Ambassador Batumi Island LLC. 100% share of Ambassador Batumi Island LLC is owned by businessman Pridon Katamadze.
