"With the support of the UNDP and the USAID, we are starting to develop the concept of business hubs, which involves supporting the projects of the local businesses in the regions and providing training in various directions," - Mikheil Khidureli, the Director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency, said at the presentation of the Agency's "Economic Impact Assessment Report".
According to Khidureli, in the first stage, three regions will be selected, where pilot physical spaces will be organized.
"Experts from various fields, including marketing, finance and general management, will help and train the local businesses in these regions, both our beneficiaries and other businesses, from the basic skills to the complex topics. These topics include business planning, financial analysis, and so on. So, this program allows us to expand in the regions in terms of the project support, as well," - said Mikheil Khidureli.
Today, the Agency held a presentation of the Economic Impact Assessment Report of the Enterprise Georgia programs, where the results of the impact assessment of the Agency's programs, based on the financial and economic analysis of the beneficiaries, were manifested.
As for the effect of subsidizing the loan/leasing interest of the industrial part, according to the analysis, as a result of the co-financing of GEL 1, the income increase amounted to GEL 15.3, the contribution to the gross domestic product – GEL 4.5, and the taxes in the budget for one year totaled GEL 1.6.
To date, the total investment of the projects supported by the Agency has exceeded GEL 3 billion, up to 58 thousand new jobs have been created.
